Annual Conference 2008
The Annual Conference was held in the Quality Station Hotel on the 12-13 June.
Although numbers were down on previous conferences, the content and participation in this one was extremely good and most delegates felt they had benefited from attending.
Unfortunately there were one or two call-offs due to ill-health, the Secretary included who would like to thank those who stepped into the breach and made sure everything went smoothly.
Thursdays programme was topped off by the usual Federation Dinner when those attending were treated to an excellent after dinner speech by Alex Davidson, former chair ADSW sub-group on disability.
Following the conference, Wendy Jack asked James Bartlett of RNIB's new product unit if he would be prepared to return to Scotland later in the year and run a workshop for those who were unable to attend the conference. The next date for your diary is the Executive meeting followed by the AGM on the 21 August in the offices of Perth Society at 10.30am.
